"I've been an ambassador for Breast Cancer Care for five years now and I always look forward to October. It's a chance to get all my friends and family together, have fun and make a real difference. Three thousand people people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this October alone. By holding a Pink Friday party, however small, you will help to ensure Breast Cancer Care can be there for each and every one of them. I'm going to see if I can organise one in the office this year - it's about time they donned some silly pink outfits!"

"I’m very excited to be involved with Pink Fridays for the first time this year. I’m already dreaming about pink cupcakes and marshmallows.  It might even be an excuse to buy some new pink shoes…! On a serious note, my mum died of breast cancer when I was little so I know only too well how scary it can be not only for the person with the illness but for their friends and families too. That’s why I’m encouraging EVERYONE I know to have a Pink Fridays party to ensure Breast Cancer Care can be there for anyone affected by breast cancer. Thank you."

Meera Syal
"I’ve been a keen supporter of Breast Cancer Care ever since my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42. Anyone who’s had cancer in the family knows it’s terrifying. Thankfully Breast Cancer Care is there for people, and their families, every step of the way as they deal with the disease but they really need your help to continue. The easiest and most enjoyable way to do that is to dig out your pink gear and organise a Pink Fridays party. Every penny raised makes a real difference so please join me in registering for your fundraising pack now!"

Andrea McLean
"Life’s busy, especially if you are a mum. But you can always find time for something that’s important to you. My Mum and I both had a breast cancer scare so we’ll be gathering our nearest and dearest this October to host a Pink Fridays party to raise much needed cash for Breast Cancer Care.

"During my work with Breast Cancer Care this year, I’ve seen how invaluable the support and information they offer is. They listen and help people in any way they can to cope with the affects of breast cancer. That’s why we ALL need to help raise as much cash as possible. Not that we need an excuse for a good party in my family!"

Geri Halliwell
"I’ve had the privilege of being a patron of Breast Cancer Care for 10 years now however sadly during that time the statistics have been getting steadily worse. One person is diagnosed with Breast cancer every 11 minutes – so that’s a lot of people dealing with breast cancer right now. I want to show that I support them and I hope you will too by holding a Pink Friday Party. I’ll be doing my bit to help ensure that Breast Cancer Care can continue to offer free vital support and you can too!! From a little pink tea party to a big girls night out, it all helps."

Graham Norton
"Pink Fridays is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the weekend throughout October by doing something as fun and raucous as you like with your mates  - but all for a worthwhile reason of course should any of you need an excuse! Put your pink thinking caps on to come up with something as wild as you like - just make sure you raise the ever-important dosh for Breast Cancer Care."

 Amanda Mealing
"I’m very proud to have recently become an ambassador for Breast Cancer Care. To celebrate I’m going to organise a big Pink Friday quiz, hopefully between Eastenders and Holby! No-one is going to escape, and we’re going to have a good giggle laughing at each other in ridiculous pink outfits! On a serious note, I’ve had breast cancer so I know what a lifeline Breast Cancer Care can be when everything else is falling apart around you. That’s why I’m passionate about raising as much money as possible, to help as many people as possible."

Miriam Margolyes
‘I get asked to support plenty of ghastly things, but Pink Fridays cut through all the rubbish! It’s a chance to gather people together, do something fun and raise money for a very good cause. I’m all for doing something different; I certainly don’t like to get stuck in a rut!  So get off the sofa, do something unusual and show you support the thousands of people who are dealing with breast cancer right now, just don’t forget to charge people for the pleasure of your company!’

"I’m proud to have been a patron of Breast Cancer Care for over 10 years. It is a great cause and a wonderful charity. Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October has been very important in helping raise the profile of this disease. And I always encourage people to wear something pink to support the campaign. As a barrister, we have to dress pretty formally most of the time. But Pink Fridays offers us - and other professions – the chance to let our hair down for a very good cause.

"One in nine women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. And nearly everyone knows of a family member, friend or colleague who has been  diagnosed with the disease. So go pink, get involved and make a difference!"

Edith Bowman
"My mum had breast cancer so I know all too well how scary it can be, both for my Mum, but for my family and friends too.  All of us can find the time to help and make a difference. All we need to do is round up some work mates, buy some pink themed cakes and have a Pink Fridays party in the office this October. Every penny raised will help Breast Cancer Care to provide much needed free information and support to anyone, like my Mum, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. So go on, what are you waiting for?"

Denise Lewis
"Every 11 minutes someone is diagnosed with breast cancer. My grandmother was one such person and as a family we know first hand how difficult it is to come to terms with. It rocks your world and you re-evaluate everything that’s important to you. Raising money for other people affected by breast cancer is important to me and that’s why I’m encouraging everyone to hold a Pink Friday party in aid of Breast Cancer Care. You can do whatever you want, wherever you want so get planning right now!"

Alison Steadman
"I’m a big fan of Breast Cancer Care as I’ve had friends affected by the disease and know just how vital their support services are. So I for one will be getting into the Pink Fridays party mood this October and want all you ladies out there to join me; dig out your finest pink frock, stick on some Demis Roussos and crack open the pink fizz in true Pamela-style! By having fun you’ll be raising funds to help 46,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year."
